Pregnancy is a journey of womanhood where we grow and see facets of us which we may have never seen before. I have seen women being scared of this. Don’t eat this, Don’t do that and don’t travel .. restrict yourself, stay at home, don’t go out, don’t tell anyone – Pregnancy is to be enjoyed and not to be bogged down by it. We have been empowered to bring a life into this world, Our bodies are beautifully equipped to handle this miracle of Life.
So my advice to everyone is – enjoy this phase as much as you can. We live in a technology-driven world where information is available at a click. Know how your body is growing. When you visit your doctor discuss your reports, ask for any precautions if to be taken, get a list of medicines that you can and cannot have in case of emergencies.
You can travel, eat, and remain active with your spouse provided your doctor has asked you specifically to refrain from something.
“To be pregnant is to be vitally alive, thoroughly woman, and distressingly inhabited. Soul and spirit are stretched – along with body – making pregnancy a time of transition, growth, and profound beginnings.” – Anne Christian Buchanan
